Supervision in Exeter and Online

Clinical supervision is important and a mandatory aspect of your professional membership. For me, it is also of paramount importance that you feel comfortable with me and able to be completely honest and open. It is my aim to ensure you are at ease, and able to talk about absolutely anything including struggles in your practice. This confidential honesty has the impact of benefitting both you and your clients.

I work with trainee counsellors through to highly experienced professionals and enjoy getting the opportunity to work with different and varied therapists. I use the seven eyed model when working with supervisees as this provides a lens to look at all aspects of the client/supervisee relationship.

Being a counsellor or psychotherapist means helping clients through their most difficult or traumatic times, which can be demanding. It’s not uncommon (particularly early on in your counselling career) to feel stuck with a client and even at times feel like an imposter (something we have all experienced.)

You can expect me to: -

· Check in with how you are doing and not be shocked by anything you might say.

· Create a down-to-earth space that is completely non-judgemental in which you can talk freely about your client work.

· Ensure that we are covering everything that you need to.

· Provide you with additional resources and ideas and work collaboratively.

· Gently challenge you when needed.

· Support you in working safely, effectively and ethically.

· Ensure that supervision does not feel ‘heavy’ and that it becomes something you enjoy.

I have an Advanced Specialist Diploma in Clinical Supervision including Online and Telephone working.

Sessions can be held in my therapy room in central Exeter or online.

Supervision sessions are £60 per 60-minute session or £90 per 90-minute session. (I offer a concessionary rate for students.)
